Torre Del Moro Tower

It is one of the coastal watchtowers of Torrevieja, located on the hill of Cabo Cervera surrounded by a beautiful park and overlooking the sea; which is ideal to know after having walked around its surroundings.

The location is also perfect for taking panoramic pictures of the sea views. You can relax and take a breath of fresh air as it is surrounded by trees.

Immaculate Conception Parish Church

Meet the patron saint of Torrevieja, the Immaculate Conception, located in the Plaza de la Constitución. Its neoclassical exterior façade does not go unnoticed, and the interior will also enchant you.

It is characterised by its spaciousness, order and care. Once inside the parish church you will be able to take photos of the sculptures of the Recumbent Jesus, the Virgin of Carmen and the Crucified Christ.

Torrevieja Promenade

Torrevieja’s promenade is simply beautiful and full of atmosphere, due to its good condition that makes it pleasant at any time of the year. The ground that covers this elegant place is in perfect condition, making it easy to enjoy without fear of slipping or falling into a hole in the ground.

This promenade is located along an area known as natural pools, which are rock formations that are right next to it. In addition to this, the central location of this place makes it easily accessible.

Levante Dam

If you are looking for a quiet plan, we recommend walking along the popular Dique de Levante. It is a stretch of about 1 km made of wood and metal, which heads southwest, which is excellent for a stroll accompanied by the sea and its wonderful view of the bay and the city of Torrevieja.

Oriente Square

One of the things you should do during your visit to Torrevieja is to walk around this beautiful square. It is in the centre of the city. Its surroundings give it a modern touch, as is the case of the church Sagrado Corazón de Jesús with its imposing architecture.

Apart from the church, the Plaza de Oriente is surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops; giving the square a lively atmosphere, especially on summer evenings.

La Mata and Torrevieja Lagoons Natural Park

This place has a magical charm, if you approach it on a day without wind and with calm water, the lagoons are mirrors, where the sky and the water are blurred and the horizon is lost. Torrevieja Submarine

Have you ever wondered how a submarine works or what it’s like inside? Come and visit the floating museum “Submarino S-61” to find the answer to this enigma. Here you can explore the inside of the submarines that were part of the Spanish Navy.

Take the little ones and show them how the marine army moved, the different tools inside that allowed them to stay afloat, the bedrooms, bathrooms and living room. This will give you an idea of how these sailors lived. It is a fun and educational experience.

Garden of Nations Park

It is a park especially for children and adults, as it has all the relevant needs for adults as well as the most fun attractions for the youngest members of the family.

This park has swings, a fountain, a lake. Most curious of all, you can see birds, roosters, hens, ducks and even turkeys, which will make your experience in this park unforgettable. As if that wasn’t enough, you can listen to the roosters crowing and the birds singing, and the little ones can enjoy an impressive slide in the shape of a dinosaur.

Water Mill Park

The name reveals what the park is all about. A tourist attraction not to be missed with the little ones. The reason is because it offers a tranquillity like no other place, due to its great size, wonderful architecture similar to a mill and its water fountains. La Mata Beach

It is a great place to relax and swim. Clean and white, the sand is cleaned with a special tractor every morning, which disinfects and equalises the sand levels, so that all tourists can enjoy it without problems. The water, on the other hand, is clear and so transparent that you can see the bottom perfectly.

Moro Cove

Appreciate nature at Cala del Moro, a beautiful place to see and admire the sea. You can also snorkel or swim in its crystal clear waters.

Náufragos Beach

Náufragos (castaway) beach is a fine sandy beach with plenty of space, with calm waters and little seaweed; very attractive for tourists and highly recommended for families.

La Zenia Beach

The weather in general is usually around 22°C. But, in seasons like August it can reach a temperature of 29°C, which is considered the hottest month.

If you are wondering what is the best time to travel to Torrevieja, the answer is in the summer season from the beginning of May to the end of July. You will be able to enjoy its attractions without any interruption.

Depending on your proximity to this magical place, the closer you are, the quicker and cheaper the journey will be. Among the ways you can get to Torrevieja are the following.

How to get to Torrevieja by car

One of the most common options is to travel by car to Torrevieja. For this option to be really optimal, the distance between you and the city has to be less than 300 km. Beyond this distance, it is best to opt for other more economical options.

If you are close to the city, you can save fares and a lot of money by travelling by road, the most common routes are the AP-7 motorway or the Mediterranean motorway (also known as E-15).

How to get to Torrevieja by bus

To get to Torrevieja by land, buses are a great option and quite cheap. The only bad thing you can find is that it has to have some quite precise requirements, mainly that the bus station of the city of origin has direct connection with the bus station of Torrevieja.

So here are the stations that can take you to Torrevieja and the cities that have these stations.

  • ALSA (Albacete-Madrid).
  • BILMAN BUS (Bilbao, Vitoria, San Sebastian, Logroño, Pamplona, Santander).
  • GIMENEZ COACHES (Zaragoza).

How to get to Torrevieja by train

The train is also a very good land transport option to get to Torrevieja, although not as direct. As Torrevieja does not have its own train station, the most viable option is to travel to Alicante train station, once there, you can rent a car or get a taxi to travel comfortably to Torrevieja.

As well as Alicante train station, you can also travel to Murcia or Orihuela train stations, both of which will also take you close to your destination.

How to get to Torrevieja by plane

Clearly, the favourite option for tourists is the plane, for its speed and comfort. Travelling by plane to Torrevieja is quite an experience. In this case, we have two different airports, which will allow you to be as close as possible to Torrevieja, so that once you arrive, you can go easily in a taxi or bus.
