See the Pedraforca Mountain in Lleida Spain
The Pedraforma mountain is considered one of the most iconic mountains to see not only in Lleida but in Catalonia as a whole. It is located in the Cadí mountain range, between the provinces of Lleida and Barcelona. If you want to enjoy an adventure in the middle of nature, don’t hesitate to visit this place.
This imposing mountain has two peaks that reach up to 2,500 metres in height, together forming the curious shape of the letter U. You can do a route up to the peak of Calderer, the only one that is really climbable. It is important, for safety reasons, that before starting the excursion you check the weather conditions. The route can take up to 5 or 7 hours, so we recommend starting early in the morning. Once at the top, the views will leave you speechless.
Gorge of Congost de Mont-rebei
The Congost de Mont-rebei Gorge is an impressive natural spot located on the border between Huesca and Lleida, Spain. Formed by the river Noguera Ribagorçana, this path is up to 4 kilometres long.
You’ll be able to walk along an amazing path while enjoying incredible views between rock walls that rise up to 500 metres high. As you progress along the route, you’ll come to the impressive Sant Jaume Ravine suspension bridge 40 metres above the river, only suitable for the most adventurous. Along the way, you will also come across many viewpoints where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the gorge.
Vall de Boí
The Vall de Boí is one of the best places to visit in Lleida, especially for its famous route that goes past the numerous Romanesque churches in the valley. This route is done by car, and will allow you to discover these interesting religious buildings.
These beautiful churches share the same Lombard Romanesque architectural style, most of them having been built between the 11th and 12th centuries and are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Among the best known is the Church of Santa Maria de Taüll, due to the fact that it has the famous painting of the Pantocrator inside.
