The Torre del Gerro was originally built in the 16th century to defend the town from pirate attacks, which were very frequent at the time. With a height of more than 13 metres, this tower is one of the monuments with the greatest historical and cultural importance in Denia.
Over 125 metres above sea level, the Torre del Gerro is located in the incredible Montgó Natural Park. You can access it at the end of the road leading to Las Rotas. Once there, you can do the route either on foot or by bike; once you’ve reached the tower, the views will leave you speechless.
