Isla Mujeres is an island in the Caribbean Sea, recognised worldwide for its beauty and as a destination to disconnect and enjoy. Every year, women from all over Mexico would make pilgrimages to the island, making offerings to the goddess Ixchel, to ensure her fertility as they changed from girls to women.
