Beaches near Golden Bay
Although Golden Bay is one of Malta’s most impressive and visited beaches, it’s also worth bearing in mind that just a short distance away there are several other beaches that will also leave you speechless. Here are some of our recommendations for when you feel like a change of scenery.
First of all, we suggest visiting the Riviera Bay, also known in Malta as the Ghajn Tuffieha. As it is also one of the few sandy beaches in Malta, it is a popular spot for locals and travellers alike, especially due to the beautiful environment that blends sea and nature. Apart from swimming, you can also take a stroll along the surrounding cliffs and enjoy a breathtaking sunset.
Another of our recommendations is Ghadira Bay, the largest sandy beach in Malta. It is a popular beach, especially due to its shallow currents and gradual depth. It has a range of parasols and sun loungers, so you can enjoy a quiet morning lounging in the sun.
Finally, we recommend visiting Imgiebah Bay, located just a 20 minute drive from Golden Bay. This beach is particularly characteristic for being surrounded by a spectacular wild and natural environment. Despite not having ideal accessibility, it is the perfect place for those who want to get away from civilisation and enjoy a haven of peace. Not to be missed!
