In addition, the price is high, you can only pay in dollars and they can’t guarantee good technical support. In total they have 4 packages of 1, 3 ,5 and 10 gigabytes, and another with unlimited gigabytes. The latter however, has a maximum browsing speed of 5Mbps, which after the first 30 GB of the plan, turns into 1Mbps, which implies that they are not really unlimited. The price ranges from €5 to €46. They also have an Asia-wide plan that includes 11 more countries.
Like Holafly, Maya Mobile is characterized by the speed and simplicity of its sign-up and installation process, which is also done via a QR code received via email. In addition, they have a 100% refund policy of the purchase in the event that the data does not work, which is not usually the case since they have at least two data providers in each country where they offer their services.

In the case of Maya Mobile we found certain drawbacks in their eSIM cards, such as, for example, that their plans are very inflexible and only have a duration of 30 days. In addition, they do not offer unlimited data plans like other brands such as Holafly, which means that you can run out of data in the middle of your trip. In addition, their data plans have very limited gigabytes and you will most likely run out of data in the middle of your trip and have to recharge. This means that in the end the costs will increase and what seemed cheap at first, will be quite expensive in the end.

The brand offers data plans in more than 100 countries and also by continent so that we can make use of our internet connection even if we are moving between different countries. In the case of Indonesia, the data packages only have a duration of 3, 5, 10, 15, 15, 30 and 60 days, which is quite flexible. In addition, they have data limits ranging from 1 GB to 100 GB. The fact that they don’t have unlimited data plans is a big disadvantage as we will be forced to recharge. Still, they are one of the brands that offer the most gigabytes.
Their App is very useful to monitor consumption and recharge in case we run out of data. Through it we can also contact customer service, which is only in English.

With some companies like Nomad or Airalo you can top up already installed eSIM via their website or App, but the best thing is not having to pay again if you run out of data.

The price of SIM cards varies greatly depending on the brand, the gigabytes available and the length of the contract. In general, the price of a 10-day SIM ranges from $20 to $40.
2. Rent a Pocket WiFi
Another alternative for connecting to the internet in Indonesia is to rent a Pocket WiFi, i.e. a portable router through which you can access the internet wherever you go.

3. Search for free WiFi networks in Indonesia
As you can imagine, this is the cheapest option. Who hasn’t spent a couple of hours sitting at a coffee shop table just to get wifi? However, as you may already know, it is also the most frustrating option in most cases. Slow connection, time limit or eternal forms that promise WIFI after collecting all your data.

In Spain, for example, there are several companies that offer roaming service abroad. Movistar, Vodafone and Orange are among them. Before embarking on a trip it is recommended to ask your usual company about the cost of roaming in order to compare with other services such as eSIM cards. Generally the GB in Indonesia Roaming is around 25€.
