Frequently asked questions about a trip to Las Terrenas
You can travel to Las Terrenas from Santo Domingo airport, the journey takes only 26 minutes but the price is the most expensive at 85 dollars.
You can also travel from Santo Domingo by bus, the journey takes 2 hours and 30 minutes however it is the cheapest option as you only have to pay 9 dollars. In addition to the bus you can travel by car which takes 2 hours and 11 minutes and costs between 15 and 22 dollars.
If you are in Samana, don’t worry, the trip to Las Terrenas is much shorter. You can travel 27 minutes by car, paying 4 dollars. If you want to travel by taxi it takes just as long but the price is between 30 and 40 dollars.
Visit the Dieciocho restaurant, which stands out for its value for money. You can find Caribbean, seafood and international dishes.
Another very good option is the El Lugar restaurant, where you can find exquisite dishes ranging from French, Caribbean, Barbecue and European food.
The hotels near the beaches are wonderful, such as El Mosquito Boutique which is located next to Playa Bonita and 5 km from the Pueblo de los Pescadores, offering a wide variety of services at 68 euros per night.
There is also the Hotel Costa Las Ballenas, located in Playa Bonita, which costs 70 euros per night.
You can move between the different places in Las Terrenas using the most popular means of transport which are the motoconchos or mototaxis, and you can also get around by taxi.
