4. Convent of San Francisco de Asís

The Convent of San Francisco de Asis is now known as the National Museum of the Fight Against Bandits, where you can learn about the history of banditry in Cuba after the triumph of the revolution.

This institution demonstrates that banditry was a phenomenon promoted and financed by the United States, which cost the lives of hundreds of people from 1959 to 1965, and nearly 1 billion pesos to the nascent Revolution. 1. Valle de los Ingenios

Trinidad has beautiful surroundings, such as this valley, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. Here you can bring out your adventurous side.

If you want to learn about Cuba’s sugar industry, this is the place for you. You can see what the sugar plantations were like from the 45-metre high Iznaga Tower. You will also be able to appreciate the Valle de los Ingenios from the Loma del Puerto viewpoint.

A very particular attraction of the viewpoint is the Canopy Tour. As its name indicates, it refers to a canopy tour around the entire Valle de los Ingenios, where you can enjoy the views.

2. Torre Manaza Iznaga

Located in the heart of the Valle de los Ingenios is the majestic Torre Manaca-Iznaga, which was previously an old sugar plantation. It is only 15 kilometres from the city of Trinidad, making it extremely accessible.

It reaches a height of 45 metres, serving as a watchtower over the sugar plantations. This tower was built in the 19th century and is considered a National Monument of Cuba. 3. Explore El Cubano Natural Park

This park is ideal for any adventurer in search of contact with nature. You can do different outdoor activities, such as walks through the park, camping, hiking and even swimming.

There are approximately 2 km of walking, while appreciating the natural world and its varied vegetation. At the end of the hike you will find the magnificent Javira and Pilon waterfalls. Take the opportunity to go scuba diving or do other activities in this park.

4. Topes de Collantes

Topes de Collantes is an impressive natural park located just 36 minutes from Trinidad, in the province of Sancti Spiritus. It is the ideal place to visit if you want to immerse yourself in a completely natural and wild environment.

In this spectacular reserve you will find an immense amount of totally protected flora and fauna, where you will not only be able to enjoy unbeatable tranquillity but also an endless number of activities. You can take endless routes along its trails, admire the abundant vegetation and even visit impressive waterfallssuch as the impressive El Nicho waterfall. 2. La Boca Beach

This beach is located just 7 kilometres from Trinidad, directly facing the Caribbean Sea. Besides offering a wide expanse of white sand, this beach is surrounded by nature, which makes it an even more idyllic spot. It is also the ideal place to practice water sports and admire an impressive barrier reef.
