4. Convent of San Francisco de Asís
The Convent of San Francisco de Asis is now known as the National Museum of the Fight Against Bandits, where you can learn about the history of banditry in Cuba after the triumph of the revolution.
This institution demonstrates that banditry was a phenomenon promoted and financed by the United States, which cost the lives of hundreds of people from 1959 to 1965, and nearly 1 billion pesos to the nascent Revolution. 5. Plaza Carillo
Plaza Carillo is a beautiful square located in the south of Trinidad. It is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon while watching the sunset and the various buildings that surround it.
It is named after Governor Pedro Carrillo, who ordered the construction of the square. Besides its beauty, it also has a very interesting history, since it was the first square built in this city. It’s for this reason that it was declared a World Cultural Heritage Site, so don’t hesitate to take a stroll around this area!
6. Casa de los Conspiradores
La Casa de los Conspiradores is a restaurant located in a well-known colonial house, where you can choose to have a drink on its pleasant terrace.

1. Valle de los Ingenios

This park is ideal for any adventurer in search of contact with nature. You can do different outdoor activities, such as walks through the park, camping, hiking and even swimming.
There are approximately 2 km of walking, while appreciating the natural world and its varied vegetation. At the end of the hike you will find the magnificent Javira and Pilon waterfalls. Take the opportunity to go scuba diving or do other activities in this park.
4. Topes de Collantes
Topes de Collantes is an impressive natural park located just 36 minutes from Trinidad, in the province of Sancti Spiritus. It is the ideal place to visit if you want to immerse yourself in a completely natural and wild environment.

This beach is located just 7 kilometres from Trinidad, directly facing the Caribbean Sea. Of course there are. Most of the rental houses are located in the centre of Trinidad and you can rent either rooms in a family house or the whole house.
The summers are usually very hot, while the winters are usually short and pleasant. Generally in Trinidad you will find that the temperature varies between 19° C to 31°C.
The best time is from the beginning of December to the beginning of April, when the weather will allow you to enjoy your stay without interruptions.
You can get to Trinidad from Havana by bus or car and it is only four and a half hours away.
