Cities to see in Austria
1. Vienna, the capital of Austria
The only right way to start (in our opinion!) is discovering some interesting facts about Vienna, the capital of this country, a place full of culture and history.
Among all the cities to visit in Austria, Vienna stands out for the monumental castles hosted by its streets. One of them is the Hofburg Palace.
It is a world-famous palace because the Empress Sisi lived there. It was also the home of the Hamburg family as well as the president’s office and the national library.
We recommend you to visit the Prater, an amusement park that was built in the late 19th century, making it the oldest amusement park in the world.
Another attraction of this city are its museums, among them the house museum of Mozart and that of Freud. There are other interesting museums such as the Weltmuseum, the museum of archeology, as well as the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Art History… In short, there is something for everyone, so we recommend that you do not fail to visit them.
If you enjoy this type of activities, you can not leave without visiting the Vienna Opera House. It’s one of the most famous opera houses in the world. It was inaugurated in 1862, starting its activity with a work by Mozart. In addition, its building is also beautiful on the outside.
